Junebug Slim got his name from his Father who jokingly remarked that he looked and sounded like a Junebug, and the Slim part came from an old school pimp author, "Iceburg Slim". Junebug Slim is known primarily for his achievements in the music industry . As most successful musicians seem to do at some point, Junebug Slim has done some work in film. Due to the nature of his music and his related star persona, the primary focus of his film efforts has been in drama and comedy "Meet The Fockers" "Americas Most Wanted" and Others.

Whoever made the phrase "You can't keep a good man down," obviously had Bay Area rapper Junebug Slim in mind. He has overcome tremendous obstacles in his quest to be one the best Player/ Chicano Rappers in the game. Known best for his songs for the ladies "Slow Jam" and "I Love You" etc. June has a much more wide range than people are used to seeing and very soon will become relevant as he moves to the peek of his music career

Junebug Slim's current single "Summertime Glow" is sure to catch the ears for the summer enthusiast with it's snapping drum kicks, smooth guitar licks, and cool lyrical flow that metophorically take you to that nice summer day, in the sun.

Junebug Slim is currently working on his all brand new Album not yet titled but we are sure it's gonna be something to look forward to. The Album is slated for a late summer 09 release.
